Memory

Dear Dad,

I'm sure you have countless fond memories of me as a child, but surely, your fondest memory must be getting beat by me time and time again at Memory. You shouldn't be embarassed, even though I know you tried your hardest. Sure, I "cheated" a bit, memorizing cards by their bent corners and small markings. But to be fair I was still using my memory:)

Well Daddy dearest, you will be happy to know that I've finally met my match (ha-get it)!! My very own son has completely put my memory skills to shame. Even when I tried my very hardest, paying extra close attention, he beat me 12 matches to 10. While I'm slighty sad that my glory days are over, I'm pleased that my son has inherited his mother's mad skills.
So, even though it was in vain, thank you Dad, for playing game, after game, after game with me.

Your Loving Daughter,
Erin

p.s. Just in case you should happen to play our old Advanced Memory game with Danny during our next visit, the grey card with the bent corner is the lightbulb.

From Grandma J., I was so excited to see a new entry on the blog. I look forward to each and every new entry. So, Danny is the memory champion at your house! Mariah and I are working on scripture mastery memorization as she just started seminary. Maybe Danny could get started on those! Smile. I love you all and miss you oh so much.

You always were a smarty pants! It doesn't surprise me that you are/were the Master at Memory! I'm glad your passing your smarts down to the kiddos!
