Home for the Holidays part II

Finally, an opportunity to play catch up on my severely neglected blog. It's 7:30 pm and my kids are fast asleep!
I mentioned before that we spent Christmas at home with my family in California. We love California and always have such a blast when we're there. We had about a week to kill before my sister and her family arrived. We spent a bit of our time in our favorite city, I almost wrote in the world until I started thinking about Rome, Venice, Paris and Prague, so let's just say in the U.S.
Though it may possibly be bumped even from that spot due to the incident we had with a seriously "road raged" cab driver kicking our car and screaming at us. Don't worry the issue was resolved and he even gave us hugs before he got back in his cab and drove off. Anyhow...we took the kids to the zoo one day and Danny was pretty excited to sneak a peak at Santa's reindeer who happened to be visiting that day. Here is a picture we took of the tigers.

The larger of the two in this picture happens to be the very tiger that jumped the fence and killed a 17 year old kid on Christmas day, just 5 days after we took this picture. The image of little Rach and Danny hanging on the 3 ft. tall chain link fence to get a better view of the tigers seriously creeps me out now! Fortunately for us the tigers weren't in attack mode while we were there and we had a fantastic time enjoying being out in the California sunshine.

Cute pictures! You guys are such a cute family. I'm glad you had so much fun being back in the states. I can't believe how big your kids are getting!
