Day Trip to France
La Montagne de Signes (Monkey Mountain) in Kintzheim, France
This was such a blast. For an entrance fee of 8 euro, which includes a handful of popcorn, you can enter this beautiful park and feed some of the 280 monkeys inside. One little mischievous monkey kept giving us problems. First, he came up and stole my park pamphlet right out of my stroller. He took it up a tree and proceeded to eat it. Several minutes later one of the park employees tracked me down and returned it to me all chewed up. Umm...thanks?
Four little monkeys
Colmar and Eguisheim, France
We visited the Unterlinden Museum in Colmar, but were terribly disappointed to find that the Picasso exhibit had been closed. Fortunately, they had a room full of knight armor and swords. Danny was thrilled! After that, we walked around the scenic towns admiring all the beautiful buildings and flowers, we enjoyed a bit of French cuisine, and we stopped at every cookie, chocolate, and pastry shop we passed on the way back to the car.

Hey Erin! Thanks for commenting on my blog - it's good to hear from you! I admit, I've actually been following your blog for maybe a month or two now - I saw it from someone elses.. Maybe Jackie or Emily's? Anyways, and I have been meaning to say hi, but I NEVER LEAVE COMMENTS. Ever. I don't know what it is. I just don't take the 2 seconds to do it. But life sounds pretty exciting in Switzerland. And your kids are so cute!! Congrats on the new house - I think Switzerland is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. Someday I hope to go back... It'll be fun to keep up with each other this way - blogging rocks! Take care.
That was SO funny about the monkeys! I'm glad Rach got her glasses back...not so glad you got the pamphlet back. Nice. What a fun thing to do. I'll have to get the address from you one day.
i'm so glad you liked it!! such a great day trip!
I love the french shops in that picture. I hope someday I can see some of that in person. It's so beautiful. How lucky you guys are!
Those monkeys sound a bit scary.
What crazy monkeys! I am sure that you will be able to talk to Danny and Rach about that for years to come!
LOL, that's all I can say about this entry. :)
