A few weeks before we went home to the States, we took a trip with our good friends - the Framptons and the Mascaros - to Italy, France and Monaco. We had a blast lounging on the beach and exploring these beautiful countries.

While sitting on the beach in Cannes, France we witnessed quite a fight. Some punk kids starting picking on a woman for no apparent reason. It got really interesting when the kids' mothers, by far the largest two women on the beach, jumped in on the action. I have several pictures, but this is the only one where you cannot see that the poor woman's bikini top had come off. during the melee. The lady eventually jumped in her car and left. As we were walking back to our car, completely disturbed by what we had just witnessed, we passed the police station and saw the woman inside upset and trying to explain her story. Fortunately our friends, the Framptons, caught the whole thing on video. After we showed it to the policeman he jumped on his motorcycle and sped off toward the beach. We don't know what happened after that, but the woman was extremely grateful.
Before heading home, we visited a beautiful town on the France/Switzerland border called Annecy. We rented a boat and spent a few hours out on the lake. Annecy has definitely moved onto my top 10 list of favorite towns in Europe.

Wow--you guys really get to do some incredible things. I think you do and see more in a month than I'll do in my entire lifetime. Keep them coming--I live vicariously through you. One day I'll get out the States. At least I have a passport; I just need to use it. It looks like a fun trip!
I love your post! I wish we could have gone, looks like it was fun. Tal & I still need to do the Riv but hopefully just the two of us. I love that song by Jason Mraz and if I had music on my blog I would want that as the first song. Long time no see, we should get together in Aug when we're back from Florida.
Wow your adventures look so fun!!! I told Dan that he needs to take me to Europe before I die...so I guess he has a couple of years.
